Projects Completed

The OC Library Foundation made a commitment to the City of Oregon City to assist with construction costs associated with the renovation and building of our new library space. It did just that. More than $500,000 was contributed to the campaign, resulting in the fulfillment of that pledge.

The OC Library Foundation has made commitments to or already provided the following:

$241,000 to help the City with the original building project
$55,000 to build the book collection, which will add more than 2,500 books!
$27,252 to create the outdoor reading circle
$20,261 to redo the Carnegie entry stairs
$15,705 to purchase a laptop charging cart with laptops for library staff use
$8,023 to build the replicated card catalog & donor wall
$3,500 to purchase a 3D printer with software and supplies
$2,000 to purchase coding robots for children

In 2022, the OC Library Foundation was able to:

provide funding for the Everbrite interactive board in the children's area
sponsor "Dance Dance Oregon City," the first of many library activities designed to serve and engage the community
support "1,000 Books Before Kindergarten," a program to enhance childhood literacy and connect families with our library
and continue our partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
